Bio
Tammy Lewis-Jones, only began running early in 2005 in an attempt to get fit. Late in 2007 Tammy was honoured with her first senior Welsh vest at the Cardiff 10km road race, where she finished as 1st Welsh Senior Lady.Three further Welsh vests were to follow that year and 2008 saw Tammy side-lined with injury and a double stress fracture effectively ruling her out of competition but despite this she achieved her 2nd Welsh masters vest at the Swansea home international. During, 2009, Tammy again secured masters Welsh vests at cross country, and under the watchful eye of Dr Andrew Walling, she has discovered a love of mountain running which has seen her competitive amongst Wales' best. In the selection race for the UK team held on the slopes of Snowdon in July 2010 Tammy narrowly missed out on selection for the GB team but was rewarded with selection for Wales in the home international at Aonach Mor in September her 7th outing in the 'red vest' . Tammy represented Wales in the 2011 Commonwealth Ultra Distance Championships.
