I am a UKA Performance Coach in Sprints & Hurdles (previously recognised as Level 3).

I have coached athletics for 15 years having previously coached junior football and hockey. As a coach at City of York, I have coached athletes who have won national age-group, English Schools, regional & county titles.

I have a strong focus on developing technique to improve all aspects of athletic performance. I work closely with regional lead coaches from England Athletics and other regional coaches to continue learning and developing my coaching knowledge. As a specialist speed coach, I have engaged with various sports including rugby union, hockey & football to develop balance, stability, movement & speed generation in order to maximise potential in athletes.

We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1830 and on Sundays at 1000.

The group is currently made up of athletes aged U15s upwards who are aiming to achieve good results at county and regional championships and to qualify for national competitions.

Training is based on speed meaning quality not quantity is key.
