In December 2009 I won a National Children’s of Courage award for sheer courage, for my campaign for a pedestrian crossing. In 2010 I found a new determination and passion, SPORT, and in particular disability sport. Working with a small local group I took a fancy to field athletic events and in particular Shot put, Discus and Javelin. I am classed as an ambulant athlete classed as an F37. Achievement’s 2009 Successfully Campaigned for £100 000 crossing on a busy road. 2009 Winner Woman’s Own Magazine Children of Courage Award. 2010 Gold Medal at Disability Sports England Nationals in Blackpool Javelin. 2010 Bronze Medal at DSE Nationals in Blackpool Shot. 2010 Bronze Medal at DSE Nationals in Blackpool Discus. 2011 Silver Medal and PB in Shot Put at DSE Nationals in Preston. 2011 Bronze Medal and PB Discus at DSE Nationals in Preston. 2011 Pride of Britain Winner for Child of Courage. 2012 Worcester Wolves Disable Basket Ball Team. 2012 Invited by UK Athletics to the Aviva Disability Athletic Grand Prix Series. 2012 Coca Cola Future Flame Olympic Torch Bearer. 2012 School Games participant at Olympic Park London. 2012 2 Gold Medals at DSE Reginals in Bromsgrove (Shot and Javalin). 2012 1 Gold and 2 Silver at DSE Nationals
