Returned to Track and Field last year after a 27 year lay off (college, family, kids, job, ... yadda yadda....) Best not to dwell on times and distances achieved in early 20s (!!) .... just getting one foot in front of the other is effort at 53, but ANYWAY, main target for the year, and upcoming years - to complete a season uninjured! Yay! Then, well who knows..... or dares to dream ..... Thought all speed was gone, but it is slowly (sloooooooowly) coming back. Really have had to look for it as it's so easy to lose something after 27 years .... especially if you haven't gone looking for it in the meantime. Now just need some strength training to go well, some spring for the jumps .. MIGHT salvage something from this year, but already looking forward to, and hopeful for, next year
